Lucas Duda Is On Pace To Hit 60 Doubles

Through five innings today, Lucas Duda had hit two doubles which brought his season total to 14 in just 38 games which is good enough to be the 3rd highest total in baseball. With those two, Duda reached 98 and 99 of his career and is on pace to pass his season high for doubles.

Last season, Duda recorded 27 doubles, while hitting 14 though 38 team games this season puts him on pace for 60 doubles for the year. The most doubles that any Mets player hit in a season is 44,  a number that Duda can easily pass sometime in September if he can keep hitting the way he has lately.

His 99 career doubles ties him with Carlos Delgado for 5th most doubles by a Mets 1st baseman, just one behind John Milner, who amassed 100 doubles through 7 seasons with the Mets.
