Syndergaard Looks To Continue Home Dominance

Tonight when the Mets come back to Citi Field to play the Giants, Noah Syndergaard looks to continue a streak of stellar home starts. In 3 games on the road, Noah is 0-3 with a 6.46 ERA in 3 starts. In his last start, a loss against the Padres, he went just 4 innings but notched his first career doube digit strikeout game and now has 21 strikeouts on the road in 15.1 innings.

AT home in 2 starts he threw 11 strikeouts in 13.1 innings yet home is where he perfoms the his best as he's 2-0 with an incredible ERA of .68 and his home WHIP is nearly a full point lower than his away WHIP (0.75-1.696)

He's going to be facing a Giants team who has the 2nd best team batting average in all of baseball and will be going up against Chris Heston who is actually just as bad as Noah on the road with a 5.79 ERA though a 3-1 record. In his last start, Heston gave up 5 Earned Runs in less than 4 innings and had given up 5 or more Runs in 3 of his last 4 starts which included a 2 inning outing.

With the combination of Noah pitching at home, and Heston's recent performance, the Mets should be able to start off this new homestand with a win.
